上海私营工商业的“四反”运动

The Movement against “Four Evils” in the Privately-ownedIndustrial and Commercial Enterprises in Shanghai

上海私营工商业的“四反”运动是在“三反”运动中酝酿和引发的,其性质是私营工商界在政府号召下自发地反对内部不法行为的自我改造、自我教育运动,是工商界爱国的表现,也是他们积极融入新社会的具体行动。上海私营工商业的“四反”运动揭发出一些工商业者的不法行为,整肃了工商界队伍,配合了“三反”运动的进行,也为“五反”运动的展开打下基础。

Conceived and delivered in the movement against “three evils”, the movement against “four evils” in the private industrial and commercial community of Shanghai was a spontaneous self- transformational and self- educational campaign against unlawful activities among the private industrialists and merchants themselves. It embodied their patriotic feelings and their efforts to actively integrate themselves into the new society. In this movement, unlawful acts were exposed and denounced and the ranks got disciplined during the movement. It also supported the movement against “three evils” and laid foundation for the movement against the “five evils”.
