The author of this article first gives a summary of the actual conditions of rainwater harvesting and utilization in Shanghai and the domestic and intemational development of this technique. Then the author presents an analysis of the rainwater comprehensive utilization techniques including rainwater collection, treatment and utilization in residential quarters of Shanghai. In the end, the author reaches a conclusion that rainwater harvesting and utilization is practical and feasible in Shanghai residential quarters.
