The basic requirement of Office Automation （ abbr. OA） system is reading and writing files. Based on the format of MIME data stream, the algorithm associated with separating the data stream is put forward with a discussion of its storage and display. The storage with database is considered to be better than writing directly into the file. Thus,separating data stream, storage and display of uploading file based on ASP and database are im- plemented.
