战国纷乱的传播环境,造成了《诗经》传播的无序状态:诸侯地方割据,书不同文,导致了《诗经》传本文字歧义纷呈;儒家学派内部的分裂,导致了战国《诗经》传播系统的混乱;诸子争鸣,导致了百家的虚言乱实、背离《诗》《书》古义以合其说。汉代《诗》分四家,实源于战国《诗》学传播的非统一性和地域性。

In the Warring states period, the diffusion of The Book of Songs became out- of- order because of the involute diffusing condition. The dukes or princes under an emperor set up a separatist regime by force of arms and used the different letter that resulted in great difference in the text of The Book of Songs. The interior breach in the Confucianists led the confusion of the system of diffusing The Book of Songs. Many scholars illustrated arbitrarily and deviated from the ancient meaning of The Book of Songs and Shangshu to support their theory in the contention of a hundred schools of thought. The format of four schools of The Book of Songs in Han Dynasy originated from the inconsistent and regional character of the diffusion of The Book of Songs in the Warring States Period.
