The Analysis of Hanwu Emperor's Frontier Policy

汉武帝时开拓边疆的战争,解除了匈奴对汉王朝长期以来的威胁,对后世影响深远。但是武帝发动一系列的战争耗费了巨大的人力物力财力,破坏了社会政治、经济的整体发展,加重了人民的负担,因此从根本上说是不足取的。

During the period of Hanwu Emperor, the war of opening up the frontier freed Han Dynasty from the Huns＇ threat in a long term and had an profound effect on the later generations. However, a series of wars waged by Hanwu Emperor consumed lots of goods, money and labor power. That destroyed the integral development of social politics and economics, and added to people＇s burden. Therefore, it is not desirable at all. This article tries to prove it from the motive, the strategy and some economic measures of the war.
