Charlotte Perkins Gilman is a famous American feminist writer. In her work the Yellow Wallpaper she embodies her thought about society and life as a well known theorist of American women movement between 1890s and 1900s. She expresses the longings for freedom and independence of awakening women and reveals the sexual politics between men and women. She also shows a new feminist consciousness which is incompatible with patriarchy.
