Guan Hanqing had deep feeling to Guan Yu, modeled him as a near supernatural being ,not only provided data＇s basis that the viewpoint of late ages which Guan Hanqing was Guan Yu＇s remote ancestor, but also strongly sustained Guan Hanqing cherished intensive Han nation feeling and possessed serious orthodox thought. In Chinese history of ancient opera, The Single-knife Meeting is an excellent opera which have profound thought and unique art. It has a very important meaning to analyze the play and exactly understand and evaluate Guan Hanqing＇s cultural character and historical position.
