Similarities & Differences Between Color Words in Minnan Dialect and Japanese and Cultural Explanations

中日文化交流源远流长,日语的颜色词虽深受古代汉族文化的影响,但也有其独特的民族文化渊源。闽南话乃古代汉语之活化石,留存着中日交流的种种印痕。本文着重比较两个民族的色彩观与两种语言的颜色词之异同,并试图从文化学的角度予以阐释。

The Sino- Japanese cultural communication has a long history, and color words in Japanese were greatly influenced by Chinese culture. Yet they have their unique national cultural origin. The Minnan dialect is the living fossil of ancient Chinese, with various kinds of traces of Sino - Japanese communication. This paper focuses on the different attitudes toward colors and the different color words in Chinese and Japanese, and offers cultural explanation of them.
