Edward Morgan Forster （ 1879 - 1970） is one of the greatest British novelists in the first half of the 20th century. Among his six novels, five have been adapted to excellent movies, which fully demonstrated the novels＇ distinct inclination to the similarities to movie. There are many similarities to movie in these novels. Forster also adopted several movie techniques in these novels, such as the use of Montage and Long Take, etc. These special features contributed to the exceptional aesthetic and artistic value of his novels and of the movies adapted from the noveis.
