As two of the most important languages in the world, English and Chinese have much in common as on word-formation. On the other hand, they possess unique ways to form words respectively. For instance, the abundant alliterative two-syllable terms, with harmonious sound and beautiful musical rhythms, are a special phenomenon in Chinese different from other languages.
