摘要
国内外对语篇衔接和连贯的研究很多,一般把衔接和连贯结合起来处理,其中一个显著特点是,不断寻找新的衔接解释手段。本文只探讨连贯,不涉及衔接。作者以目的原则作指导、以目的为核心分析语篇,用目的系统论来解释语篇的连贯,把目的作为判断连贯和连贯程度的标准,提供一个探讨和解释话语连贯的新途径。
The literature on cohesion and coherence is imposing both at home and abroad, wh ich is characterized by persistent pursuit of new cohesive devices to explain co herence. The present paper is exclusively devoted to coherence. Guided by the pr inciple of goal_direction in human action, the paper takes the goal as the only criterion for coherence of texts or discourse and proposes goal analysis as a fr esh approach to the study of coherence.
