中等教育综合化就是建立综合中学的过程。综合中学起源于美国,中等教育综合化是现代西方中等教育结构变革的主要趋势,反映了教育民主化的要求。然而中等教育综合化的结果并不那么令人满意,未来仍然面临着许多难以逾越的障碍和必须解决的问题。

This article describes the development of comprehensive school of Western secondary education. Comprehensive school shows the current of Western educational system reform, especially secondary education, as well as educational democratization. But there is some dissatisfaction with its result, and there will be some difficulties to start with and problems to solve.
