摘要
OAI(the Open Archives Initiative)是基于元数据采集的网络数据库系统互操作协议,因其采用了低进入障碍的技术方案而为很多网络数据库和信息增值服务项目采用。本文详细说明了OAI的技术框架,在此基础上解释基于OAI实现跨库检索的基本原理,并通过实例分析予以证明。
The Open Archives Initiative（OAI） is a protocol to promote the interoperability of networked databases, it works through metadata harvesting and is a low-barrier framework. These characteristics make it relatively easy to implement and very popular on today＇s Internet. The article introduces the main technical features of OAI in detail, and explains the principles of how to realize the OAI-based cross-retrieval, and then proves them by case analysis.
