This paper introduces a new gateway design based on the embedding OS VxWorks. Characters of the VxWorks are introduced. Structures and the functions of the embedding AFTN gateway are described. Then some of the key techniques about coordinating the multiple tasks, network interface and system backup etc are discussed.
