摘要
低压鼠笼型交流感应电动机在冶金系统应用极其广泛。对其传统的启制动方式的不足之处加以讨论，引出新型启动和停止装置——软启动器。该装置极大地减轻对电网和设备的冲击，还可作节能运行，对低减转矩类负载尚可开发调速性能。
In contrast to the conventional way for starting a low voltage squirrel cage motor,the soft starter developed recently,offers smooth starting and stopping characteristics,and therefore,relieves both mechanism and motor itself of dynamic impact.Running a motor in energy saving mode would be beneficial to the users who are to be under legal obligation to decrease energy consumption.
