The background of technical transformation in the steelmaking plant of baotou Iron and steel company and the technical equipment and technological features of the newly built up pretreatment of liquid iron-combined blowing converter-continuous casting process are introduced. The importance of reducing heat loss in process and low overheating is pointed out .
