Duality in Modern Editorial Work of Journals

学报编辑工作既是在策划、审稿、加工、设计等编辑环节中融入了编辑的思想观念、价值判断、艺术倾向、审美情趣的创造性工作,又是按一定顺序和规范,一环扣一环地相互联系又相互约束的非常规范的工作。只有发挥创造性,才能使学报办出特色和风络,进而总结出经验,上升为新的编辑规范。只有坚持规范性,才能进一步发挥编辑主体的创造性,保证刊物的质量,使刊物走出一条具有自己特色的发展道路。

On one hand, the editorial work of joumais is creative in that editors＇ thoughts and ideas, value judgment, artistic preferences and aesthetic taste are always merged into the processes of planning, going over manuscripts, processing and designing. On the other hand, the editorial work is standardized in that it should be proceeded in line with some procedures and standards. Only when there is innovation in the editorial work can a journal gain its own characteristic and features. And the experiences of innovation will be drawn and abstracted into new standards for more editors to conform to. Only by sticking to the principle of standardization can editors better display their innovativeness, thus ensuring the quality of the journal and finding a developing road with its own characteristics.
