his paper introduces the application of the ultraviolet and vacuum ultraviolet light(VUL)and the photoelectric detection of the VUL radiation. A design is made of the vacuum ultraviolet phototube with an 'upper air'solar blind cathode. A VUL radiation photometer has alsobeen developed successfully.
