矿业遗迹是矿产已被人类开采利用或已被采空的特定空间地域。包括采矿遗址、开采设备和采矿工具等。矿业遗迹存在着巨大的科学研究和文化学术价值;矿业遗迹与其它自然景观、人文景观相结合具有巨大的旅游价值。建设矿山公园,对保护和开发自然遗产、普及矿业知识、改善矿业城市生态环境、加快矿业城市转型、调整矿业城市产业结构和促进矿业城市可持续发展具有重要的意义。

Mining remains,including mining relics,extracted equipment and mining tools,is a specified space area in which the resources have been either extracted or exhausted by human being.It has great scientific research,culture,as well as academy value;it also has great tourist value integrated with natural scenery and places of historic figures and cultural heritage.The paper goes on looking at the important significance of building mine park for protecting and developing natural heritage;popularizing mining knowledge;improving ecological environment,speeding up transform,re-adjusting the industrial structure and improving the sustainable development of the mining-based economies of certain cities.
