润物细无声——谈启功先生对于《红楼梦》研究的贡献

Sir Qi-gong's Contributions to Hong Lou Meng Study

启功先生以其深厚的文化艺术底蕴,尤其是对于满族文化的了解,为新中国出版的《红楼梦》作了第一个注本,哺育了一代又一代的《红楼梦》的读者,也为以后的《红楼梦》新的注释本打下了坚实的基础。启功先生对于《红楼梦》注释的开创性工作,其视注释为学术的严谨态度,乃至对于曹雪芹文物、《红楼梦》版本的鉴定和所做的其他研究,影响熏陶了当代众多《红楼梦》的学人,在《红楼梦》的流传史和红学的研究史上功不可没。

Sir Qi--gong published the first annotation edition of Hong Lou Meng （A Dream of Red Mansions, DRM） after the l.iberation, which displays his profound attainments in classical Chinese culture and art, especially in the knowledge of Manchus. His efforts have not only nurtured generations of readers of the great masterpiece, but also laid a solid base for further researches. In fact, Sir Qi--gong＇s creative thinking in the annotation, his strict and rigorous attitude in treating annotation as a science, his researches in CAO Xue-qin＇s relics, and his determinations of the different versions, and his other work, all have influenced many of the contemporary scholars. And his contributions will be remarkable and eminent in the future studies as well.
