上个世纪末,深圳市委、市政府根据深圳经济社会发展的现实,适时提出了文化立市的战略构想,期于经济快速发展的同时实现文化的比翼齐飞。这一战略构想不仅得到深圳广大市民的拥护,也引起了学术理论工作者的关注,《文化立市论》一书以宏观与微观结合的视野对文化立市的战略进行了系统的、全方位、深入的阐发,是深圳市学术理论工作者集体智慧的结晶,必将对深圳市文化立市的进程产生巨大和深远的影响。本期刊发的三篇评论文章,不仅对该书的学术成果进行了客观的评析,也对深圳文化立市的未来发展进行了建设性的思考,提出了许多较有价值的意见。

At the end of last century, the Shenzhen government came up with a strategic plan to make Shenzhen a city of culture in the hope of raising its cultural status amid rapid economic developments. The plan won the support of its citizens and drew the attention of its scholars. The book entitled On Making Shenzhen a City of Culture provides an in-depth study of the strategic plan. It is a crystallization of the collective wisdom of Shenzhen scholars. This issue carries three papers on the book. They not only make an objective analysis of the book but also put forward valuable suggestions on the future development of Shenzhen＇s culture.
