Contextual Adaptation and Pragmatic Translation

语用翻译是一种新兴的翻译理念,它把语用学理论创造性地应用到翻译中,从而形成了该种跨学科的翻译观.随着语用学的发展,语用翻译理论也在不断成熟.本文运用维索尔伦的语境动态顺应论来分析翻译过程,认为翻译活动是一种始终贯穿着社会、文化、认知等因素的互动选择机制.语用顺应论不仅可将翻译理论纳入一个连贯统一的框架,而且动态顺应也为拓宽翻译研究的发展空间带来诸多有益的启示.

Pragmatic translation is a brand-new concept, which applies pragmatic theories to translation and forms this inter-disciplinary translation theory. Based on Jef Verschueren＇ s theory of contextual dynamic adaptability, this paper attempts to employ this pragmatic theory in the study of translation, and explores the possibilities of establishing a unified pragmatic framework for the observation of translations.
