摘要
1996年4月10日，使用北京天文台兴隆观测站60cm望远镜及其主焦上的TI215CCD照相机[1]，在NGC4027天区发现了一颗超新星．这是今年开始的超新星巡天计划的第一个结果．这颗超新星已被McDonald天文台的王力帆证实，并被分类为Ⅱ型超新星．国际天文学会中央电报局已将它列为SN1996W[2]．
On 1996 April 10 we discovered a supernova in NGC4027 with TI 215 (Japan) CCD camera at the prime focus[1] of the Xinglong Station's 0.60 m reflector, Beijing Astronomical observatory. This is the first success in our supernovae survey project being carried out from this year.The supernova has been condrmed by Wang Lifan at the McDonald Observatory and classilied as of type Ⅱ. It is listed as SN 1996W[2] by the Central Btireau for Astronomical Telbgrams. Figure 1 presents a finding chart and a spectrum taken on May 13.
