摘要
设计一种用于中子探测的高灵敏度扫描变像管.其特点是:不设置狭缝,将大面积光电阴极(30mm)所发射的电子束聚焦成小束斑(1mm)直接进行扫描,再经内置MCP(microchannelplate)电子倍增,使扫描变像管的探测灵敏度得到大幅度提高,可探测中子产额为5×107条件下的激光惯性约束聚变(ICF)中子飞行时间谱,扫描变像管时间分辨率可达约55ps.
A new streak image tube with high detection efficiency was designed for neutron detection. The tube with large-area photocathode (φ30 mm) showed no slit. The electron beam from the photocathode was focused to little cross-over (φ1 mm). Then the cross-over was scanned directly and multiplied by an internal micro channel plate (MCP). This greatly improves the tube's detection efficiency. The calculated time resolution is 55 ps and the tube can record neutron time of flight signals from implosion targets with yields of 5 × 10^7 neutrons.
