论“丑”和“副净”——兼谈南戏形态发展的一条轨迹

On the Dramatic Characters of “丑” and “副净” ——Talking about a Trace of the Development of Southern Drama

“丑”源于“副净”,较早出现于南戏,而鲜见于元杂剧。它是“净”的分蘖,又有其独特的表演形态。从它形成和发展的过程中,可以窥见南戏这一戏种独特的品味,以及中国古代戏曲如何走向角色专业化、表演程式化的过程。

The dramatic character “clown” came from the “secondary painted face” ,which appeared much early in the Southern Drama ,while being rarely seen in the Miscellaneous Drama (杂剧) in the Yuan Dynasty. From this by-pass of the “painted face” (“净”), we can appreciate the unique style of the Southern Drama and the specialization of the characters and the stylization of their performance in the classic Chinese dramas.
