摘要
本文阐述了近年来在星状沙丘方面的研究进展，介绍了国内外星状沙丘的形成发育模式、粒度特征和沉积构造特征方面的理论及研究成果．
Star dunes are characterized by their pyramidal morphology and radian sinuous arms.A.B. Phidolowiqi (1960) previously pointed out that there are some closely relationships between the star dune development and the multidirectional winds which are created by topographic obstruction. D.Mader (1985), J.Nielson, etc. (1987) successively inferred and confirmed that the star dunes are created from some other dune types which are migrated to the complex wind-regime areas. On the basis of the field observations, N. Lancaster (1989) systematically put forward a model for the star dune formation and development,and researched the grain-sine characteristics of the star dunes. E.D. Mckee (1982),J.Nielson, etc. (1987) preliminarily uncovered the depositional structure of the star dunes.In this paper, some new progresses of the study on the star dunes are comprehensively reviewed.
