试谈翻译危机

On translation crisis

改革开放以来,中国的翻译事业蓬勃发展,译作数量迅猛增加,但是遗憾的是翻译质量并没有得到相应的提高。许多质量低劣的译品明目张胆地充斥着翻译市场,污染着神圣的翻译事业,使翻译面临着严峻的危机。只有剖析导致翻译危机的原因,才能真正解决危机问题。

Since reform and opening-up, China＇s translation cause has developed vigorously and the translation works have increased rapidly in quantity, but pitifully it doesn＇t seem that the translation quality has got corresponding improvement. A lot of low-quality translated-texts appear on the market brazenly, staining the sacredness of translation cause, making translation face with severe crisis. As a result, this paper just makes an attempt to analyze the causes which lead to the translation crisis and tries to put forward some ideas on how to solve the crisis problem basically.
