On Zen Comprehension and Artistic Instinct

禅是一种追求人生理想境界的独特修持方法。艺术的本质是一种体验,艺术直觉所把握的是一个感性世界。但在思维方式上,禅宗的“悟”对艺术直觉有着强烈的影响,艺术直觉与禅宗的“悟”有着一种天然的交织关系。

Zen is a special Chinese cultural thought. It is a way to practice Buddhism, which aims to pursue the ideal bourn of life. The essence of art is experience. What the art instinct concerns is the inner world. But in the way of thinking, the comprehension of Zen, has great influence on the art instinct. There is a spontaneous interlaced relationship between Zen and art instinct.
