坚持马克思主义在意识形态领域的指导地位,不断提高建设社会主义先进文化的能力,是加强党的执政能力建设的一项重要任务。以培养人才为基本职能的高等学校,培养什么人,如何培养人,是在新形势下必须不断探索的重大课题。当前国际国内形势的深刻变化对高校意识形态工作提出了新挑战、新要求,加强党对高校意识形态的领导对于全面加强党的执政能力建设有着特殊重要的意义。党对高校意识形态的领导要贯穿整个高等教育人才培养的全过程。

One important task in strengthening the party＇s governing ability is to insist on Marxism＇s leadership in the ideological field and continuously improve the ability to build up socialist advanced culture. The basic function of higher education is to train qualified people. However, how to train people？ What do we mean by “qualified”？ These are important topics needing further exploration. Under the new situation, the incisive changes in currents at home and abroad have raised new challenges and demands in the ideological work of universities.
