A Study on the Leisure Values and Its Trends in the Well-off Society of China

培养和倡导积极的小康社会大众休闲价值观,对中国经济和社会实现持续健康发展具有重要意义。我们倡导的休闲价值观应是充分结合了我国传统和西方优秀休闲文化、认识到休闲是人们在小康社会快节奏高效率工作压力下保持健康和全面发展所不可或缺的重要支持力量,是真正体现出人的自由而全面的发展、体现出可持续性特质的休闲理念和休闲价值观。

After decades of fast development, China is now stepping into a well-off society. Quality of life keeps improving and the amount of leisure time is extended. At this time, advocating correct leisure values will be extremely important to the continuous and healthy development of the country＇s economy and society.According to the real situation of today＇s China, the correct leisure values of a well-off society should include： （1） a complete and integrated combination of both Chinese and Western leisure cultures and values; （2） indispensable means for more and more people to keep healthy and have all-sided development in a fast-rhythm and high-efficiency society; （3） people＇s free and all-sided development; （4） the particularity of the whole society＇s sustainability. In the near future, Chinese leisure values are likely to develop in this way： leisure will be a key factor in people＇s life to satisfy their interests and not just recreation or relaxation under heavy work loads. People will be keen on having their own way of spending the leisure time instead of just following traditional and routine entertainment models. Along with the trends of decentralization and de-standardization, people＇s leisure concepts and behaviors will be more and more different toward a personal or private thing. Because of the aging problem of today＇s society, a large number of people will take advantage of their leisure time to make friends. The relationship between leisure and health will become a focus of attention. More and more people will think that leisure would be an ideal status for them. On the other hand, the government will also leisure and entertainment. It will have to make the leisure industry an important means to stimulate the country＇ s economy and culture. Undoubtedly, the values of leisure will be highly improved in the well-off China from now on, and this is the reason why we want to define a scientific concept on leisure values.
