An Interpretation of "a Harmonious Society"

要构建和谐,首先认识不和谐,当前我国社会某些不和谐表现影响社会发展,构建和谐社会是一项系统复杂的社会工程,对此应当做到以发展促和谐,在和谐中求发展;健全矛盾解决机制,善于处理人民内部矛盾。

To build a harmonious society, we should first recognize discordance, for at present some discordant societal factors produce a negative effect on the social development in our country. As the building of a harmonious society is complicated and systematic engineering, we should give top priority to development so as to promote harmony and achieve an all-round development in a harmonious society. Therefore, a solution mechanism should be established to resolve the contradictions among the people.
