先进性是马克思主义政党的根本特征,也是马克思主义政党的生命所系、力量所在。抓住了先进性建设,就抓住了党的建设的根本。丢掉了先进性,就丢掉了执政资格。中国共产党之所以保持先进性,最根本的原因就是她始终以马列主义、毛泽东思想为指导,高举邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想伟大旗帜,始终站在时代前列,实现好、维护好、发展好人民群众的根本利益,得到人民群众的衷心拥护,使党不断获得保持先进性的力量源泉。
