Analysis of similarities and differences in English and Chinese subject and theme

认识一种语言,应首先从句子结构开始。汉语句的结构和英语句的结构有相似之处,也有不一样的地方。汉语是意合型语言,英语是形合型语言,这就在很多句子结构上产生了不同。文章将从这个方面展开讨论,进而提高对汉语句和英语句特点的认知。

Knowing a language should start ,first, from sentence structure. Chinese sentence and English sentence have similarity in structure, yet they often have differences between them. Chinese is a language of parataxis and English is a language of hypotaxis, which result in differences in their sentences. This paper discusses these problems in order to heighten our cognition of linguistic features of these two languages.
