Sons and Lovers, written by D. H. Lawrence, is a world - famous works which reflects the 20th century society of the Great Britain and even the panoramic society of the whole world at the beginning of the century. The main characters in the novel cannot realize the unity and harrmony of the soul and the body, with everyone badly hurt and both bodily and spiritually destroyed.Their fates indicate that people,induced by the so- called “Satan” the industrial civilization,stole to eat the “forbidden fruits” .Their views of religion and value have already been dissimilated and they have no fun and lose their Garden of Eden.
