海明威的代表作《老人与海》自问世以来,一直受到国内外专家学者的好评与深入研究。然而这部小说是根据海明威的冰山原理所创造,故可令读者深思挖掘的思想无可限量。本文试从新兴的生态文学批评角度分析作品中所体现的作者对人与自然界关系问题的思索。

Ernest Hemingway＇ s representative work The Old Man and the Sea has been welcomed and analyzed by literary critics from different perspectives since its publication. But as the novel is created according to Hemingway＇ s Iceburg Principle, there must always be something new for the readers to dig out. In this article, the author tries to analyze Hemingway＇ s idea about the relationship between man and the nature in the novel through the newly-developed ecocritical point of view.
