Villager Autonomy and Women’s Participation in Political Movements

女性参政是民主政治和社会进步的一个重要标志。我国广大农村实行的村民自治为农村妇女政治参与提供了机遇,但也存在着参政比例不高、深度和广度不够以及立法不完善等问题,阻碍了妇女民主参政的进程。存在这些问题的根本原因还在于传统观念和封建思想的约束,使得人们包括妇女本身对妇女参政的意识不强。提出完善相关法律规定,提高农村妇女整体素质和就业能力等对策及建议。

Women＇s participation in political movements is an important symbol of democratic politics and social progresses. While China＇ s rural villager autonomy has provided for them the opportunity, the women participating rate is still not high, the participating depth and breadth remain unsatisfactory, and the corresponding legislation is imperfect, which have hindered the process. The paper puts forward the countermeasures as perfecting corresponding laws, improving rural women＇s overall quality and capability of employment and so on.
