Expansion method of the Jacobi elliptic tions. The （2 ＋ 1） -dimensional Eckhaus-type extension of the dispersive long wave equation and the （2 ＋ 1 ） -dimensional Boussinesq-Burgers soliton equation are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the method, through which the periodic solutions including the solitary wave solutions are obtained.
