摘要
传统的机械CAD系统存在缺乏柔性和自动化水平低的缺点,虚拟现实技术可以提供具有良好沉浸感、交互性和可视化效果的设计环境。该文首先介绍了机械零件设计的一般过程,分析了用虚拟现实方法进行机械设计的关键技术,利用虚拟现实的方法,以OpenGL为工具设计了一套机械CAD系统(VRMD系统),最后以齿轮的设计为例,介绍了机械设计的一般方法和VRMD的实现过程。结果表明,VRMD自动化程度高,设计柔性好,克服了传统方法的不足,系统用户界面直观友好,能缩短产品的设计周期。
Traditional mechanical CAD system has the disadvantages of inflexibility and low- level automation, and the technology of virtual reality can supply an ideal environment of good interaction and good immersive visualization: In this paper,firstly,the common process of machine design was introduced and some key techniques of machine design based on virtual reality were analyzed. Then, a Machine Design(VRMD) system was realized with OpenGL and the'method of virtual reality,and finally, the common way of machine design was presented with the design of gear as an example. At the same time, the realization process of the system was detailed. Experimental results demonstrate that VRMD has high automation level and flexibility, can avoid the shortage of tradional methods, has visual and friendly interface and can decrease the development cycle of products.
