Based on the targets and principles of the reform of the water price, and from aspects of promoting the water economization, guaranteeing the normal operation of YRDP （Yellow River Diversion Project）, and developing the water-supply enterprise, etc., this paper discusses on the necessity of adjusting the price of the tap water in Taiyuan City.
