谈歌的《杨志卖刀》是对《水浒》中的一段情节的前溯性扩展,在这个扩展故事中,作者谈歌将时间作为一种有力的叙述手段,借助宝刀这个意象,利用武侠小说的套路和评书的方法,将一个恩怨相报的故事作了一番具有独创性的铺陈。

“Yang zhi Selling Swords” is a pre-expansion of a piece of plot in “Outlaws at Marsh”. In such expansion, a gratitude-resentment story is creatively narrated by time as a narrative device with the help of the recurrence of sword image, the convention of Wuxia novels （novels marked by Gung Fu fights）, and the Chinese Pingshu art （a combination of narration and comment）.
