This paper has discussed characteristics and harms of traditional computer virus and internet worm virus, and also has analyzed and investigated a typical internet worm virus （hezhi） appeared in 2004 in OD and IDE way, which has disclosed the principles and mechanisms of traditional computer virus and internet worm virus especially. Then it gives efficient measures of virus prevention and cure.
