Japanese political culture and east-Asian strategies

一个国家在制定外交政策以及采取具体外交行动时,深受其民族思维方式、价值观念等文化因素的影响。日本是一个有着特殊感的东亚国家,其政治文化表现出明显的特殊性:皇国思想支配下的民族优越意识;武士文化中重等级、重实力、轻思辨的思维特点;殖民主义指导下的弱肉强食观等。这些文化因素不仅制约着日本历史上的东亚战略,更直接影响着当今21世纪日本“东亚共同体”模式的构建。

A nation that makes its diplomatic policies or takes concrete international actions is likely to be influenced by such factors as the ethnological way of thinking, value, and other cultural elements. Japan is an east-Asian country with a strong sense of its political culture, emperor-related superior ethical dominance, and the war-worshiped colonialist jungle law. Therefore Japanese east-Asian strategies and the concept of the construction of the East-Asian Community will be affected.
