A Study on the Relations Between Science and Technology Before Modern Time

近代以前的科学史不能看成单纯的科学思想史,把科学思想史与科技关系史结合起来考察,才能对古代科学、科学思想的特点以及它们的缓慢发展进行较合理的说明。

The history of science before modern time could not simply be viewed as the history of scientific thought. Only through a study that combined the history of scientific thought with the history of the relations between science and technology, we are able to find a rational explanation on the features of ancient science and scientific thought, as well as on the slow development of them.
