Take the case of report form treatment in Supervisory Information System in heat power plant, this article expatiates how to implement data extraction,data analysis,datastatistics and the automatic creation of Excel report form basing on PI database in Browser/Server software system in distributed architecture. This system makes the best of the API provided by PI database for Excel, thus it improves the maneuverability and flexibility of report form and it has proved to beeffective in practical application.
