It introduced the makeup, structure, form and pathogenic mechanism of biofilm. It expatiated the influence of material of urethral catheter on the form of biofilm, bacteria growth and procreation on biofilm. It suggested that the key point of decreasing urethral catheter associated urinary tract infection is the prevention, which including prevention of the form of bacteria on biofilm, improving the material of biofilm of urethral catheter and strengthening nursing care of patients.
