摘要
论述了石油化学工业大型化发展的趋势，阐述了增大装置规模对节省投资、降低产品成本、综合利用、减少污染等所起的作用以及可能带来的负面效果。建议我国“九五”期间发展石化工业应从全球竞争角度看待规模效益，考虑建设１０００万ｔ／ａ以上的炼油厂和６０万ｔ／ａ以上的乙烯装置，并充分发挥油化结合优势，合理利用资源，研制开发大型设备及部件。
This paper presents the trend towards large-scale development of petrochemical industry,the effects of expanding unit scale on saving investment, lowering product cost, comprehensive utilization, reducing pollution and its possible negative results as well. It is suggested that the problem of scale effect be considered from the point of view of global competition, refinery with a capacity above 10Mt/a and ethylene plant with a capacity over 600kt/a be constructed, giving full play to combining petroleum refining and petrochemical processing, making rational use of resourses, developing large-scale equipments and parts in developing petrochemical industry during the period of China's Ninth-Five-Year Plan.
