The key factors of casing damage and the se-rious results of casing corrosion abroad and in China weresummarized, corrosion mechanism of dissolved oxygen(DO), CO2, H2S, HCl, HF, bacteria and scale depositsoncasings discussed, the technical measurements of casingcathodic protection, chemical corrosion control and coat-ings corrision control and effectivity presented, and thesuggestions of casing corrision control for future oil andgas exploration wells put forward.
