为了了解刘翔110m 栏全程跨栏的步长,步频及速度等参数来分析其跨栏、栏间跑节奏等运动学特征,以他在2005年全国田径大奖赛中山站的110m 栏决赛为研究对象,采用德国产的激光测速仪(LAVEG SPORT),用影像解析相结合的办法来测量运动员跑进的速度。结果显示:刘翔的栏间3步总步长比较短,而且3步中每1步所占的比例也不同;刘翔全程栏问跑3步平均步频快,在第3～4栏栏间达到最大步频,并保持4个栏间到第6～7栏栏间;刘翔栏间的3步平均速度快(9.20m/s),在第4～5栏栏间达到最高速度(9.63m/s);与世界优秀跨栏运动员比较,刘翔的过栏的平均速度较慢,前3栏间的节奏相对不是很稳定。

His average speed is 9,20m/s and reaches the highest （9.63m/s）between the hurdles of No. 4 - No. 5, Compared with the world＇s top hurdlers, Liu Xiang＇s average speed of hurdle clearance is relatively slow and his rhythm between the first 3 hurdles is not so stable.
