新词语给留学生阅读汉语报刊造成了一定困难。因此,加强新词语研究,是对外汉语教学的一个重要课题。为了帮助学生掌握新词语,提高阅读理解水平,教师应向学生介绍新词语的特点、构成方式和文化内涵,并不断补充最新的阅读材料。

Foreign students are often puzzled by new words while reading Chinese press. So the study of new words is an important task of foreign Chinese teaching. In order to help students master new words and improve reading comprehension, teachers should introduce the features, word-building and cultural meanings of new words, and supply the latest reading materials constantly.
