On the connotation of interests category and the interests structure of historical materialism

人的需要构成利益的内容。利益是影响人类生存与发展的各种有利条件的总和,其本质是人的需要实现的社会形式。人的需要和利益是历史唯物主义重要的基础性范畴。利益结构可以划分为物质利益与精神文化利益;个体利益、集团利益与社会共同利益;经济利益与政治利益;直接利益与间接利益;广义利益与狭义利益。

Human demands constitute the content of interests. And interests are the summation of various favorable conditions influencing human survival and development, whose essence is the social formation that people need to realize. Human demands and interests are the important basic categories of historical materialism. The interests structure can be divided into various categories, including material interests, spiritual and cultural interests, individual interests, group interests and social common interests, economic interests and political interests, direct interests and indirect interests, interests in broad sense and interests in narrow sense.
